Universities
The area is well served by universities who already work with a range of businesses and welcome new relationships. This can include undertaking research projects and consultancy as well as working together with employers on student placement schemes such as Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

A new initiative is being considered, led by the University of Brighton, to extend further and higher education provision across the Diamond more directly in line with needs of businesses in the area. The focus will be on training and vocational qualifications both for younger people and those already in the workforce.

Lifelong Learning
The Sussex Learning Network's website Learning Opportunities brings together information and guidance relating to work-based and work-related higher education in Sussex. It links together institutions and organisations in Sussex, including Universities and Further Education Colleges, and provides advice on careers, study choices, finance, progression routes and much more.
