13 September 2016

Entries are now being sought for the Made in the South East Awards, the region’s premier awards for the manufacturing sector.

The Awards recognise and reward the talent and skills that South East manufacturers have in abundance. The Awards were established to celebrate the success of manufacturing companies in the South East and to reward the innovation and technological expertise that the region is home to.

Now in their fourth year, the Awards are firmly established as one of the leading events for the South East manufacturing sector.

Judging

An independent panel of manufacturing experts will scrutinise all the entrants and select the shortlisted companies. The winners will be revealed at a gala dinner being held at Hilton Hotel, Gatwick Airport on Thursday 24th November 2016.

In addition to receiving regional recognition, all the winners will automatically qualify for Insider’s national manufacturing awards final, Made in the UK 2017, which pits the winners of all the regional Made in… events against each other to find overall national winners of the various categories. http://www.insidermedia.com/event/made-in-the-uk

What does winning mean?

“Winning our Made in the South East award has had two benefits to our business. The first is credibility within our market place. The recognition we received is very valuable and a real boost to a dedicated and capable team. The second is that we have been implementing a period of change within the business, and external recognition of our strategy helped build the confidence within Team G&B that we are on the right path.” Laura McBrown, managing director, G&B Electronics (Winner, SME Manufacturing Company of the Year 2015)
