Coast to Capital Board seek new Board member
30 September 2014
Coast to Capital, the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for West Sussex, Croydon, Brighton & Hove, Lewes, East Surrey and the Gatwick Diamond is seeking an experienced business person to join its Board, as a co-opted member.
The Coast to Capital Board comprises eleven business leaders and six local authority and higher/further education leaders from across the region. The new role has arisen due to an existing board member relocating overseas.
Board members take a strategic lead in shaping and driving the Coast to Capital LEP, its strategies and work programme. This includes the delivery of the region’s Growth Deal 2014 with Government and the facilitation of the Growing Places Fund and European Structural Investment Funds. The time commitment required for the role is estimated at six ‘sessions’ per month.
Coast to Capital Chairman Tim Wates said: “We particularly welcome applicants with prior experience of working with social entrepreneurs and the voluntary sector. Our ideal candidate is someone who is able to influence policy makers at all levels particularly in respect of social policy, community and voluntary networks as well as contribute to our broader international trade and enterprise agenda.”
