12 August 2013
Nuffield Health the UK's largest healthcare charity is to relocate its head office from New Malden to Epsom in Surrey. The site at the Epsom Gateway will be ready to move into in December 2013 and will be the base for more than 400 Nuffield Health staff.
The new office aims to provide the best working environment for staff and at the same time enabling the charity to become more energy efficient.
The new 40,000 square foot building on Ashley Avenue offers staff a range of facilities, including the Ashley Shopping Centre and the nearby Epsom Downs racecourse - the home of the Derby - as well as an onsite, fully furbished, fitness and wellbeing centre.
Marcus Powell, Group Organisation Development and HR Director at Nuffield Health, said: "As a health and wellbeing organisation, we have been looking for an office that really suits the way our organisation works. We are currently working with designers to ensure that our wellbeing focus is embedded throughout the building. By the time we move in in December, this will be a great place for our staff to work."
Councillor Neil Dallen, Chairman of the Epsom & Ewell Borough Council Strategy & Resources Committee, commented: "This is excellent news for Epsom and I whole-heartedly welcome the 400-strong team from Nuffield Health to the Borough. They will find Epsom a business friendly place in which to work and, when they take a break, they will be a stone's throw from fantastic shops, restaurants and the beautiful Roseberry Park."
