Aramark has been appointed by LOCOG as the main catering contractor at four of the venues for the London 2012 Games. They are now seeking suppliers who can meet the exacting standards that have been set for the London Games for non-branded food products, which may be in raw, processed or manufactured categories.

Aramark has said that they will be happy to look at 50-60 suppliers who are confident they can meet the requirements, with a view to interviewing a smaller number face to face at a meet the buyer event, with a clear intention to bring new suppliers into their supply chain.

Aramark are looking for raw produce (grown produce, meat, fish, dairy eggs etc), processed or manufactured food.

Suppliers must be sure:

  • Their product is non-branded
  • They meet the stretching standards set out in the Food Vision (eg Red Tractor, sustainability standards etc)

Niche and speciality products and produce are welcome, as are mainstream suppliers.

Interested suppliers who meet the requirements set out above should email the name of their business, a contact name, email address, phone number and website to southeast2012business@soadevelopment.co.uk by Monday 7th November.

Any existing Aramark suppliers need not respond as they are already in the supply chain – they do not need to do anything extra to be considered for the London 2012 supplies.
