The Inspire group is bringing together key educational agencies and businesses to expand and exploit the knowledge economy to add to and strengthen the skills base in the Gatwick Diamond. The Inspire Group is chaired by Dean Orgill of Mayo Wynne Baxter and its members include East Surrey College, Central Sussex College, University of Brighton, NESCOT College, University of the Arts, National Apprecnticeship Service, the Skills Funding Agency and the Federation of Small Businesses.
Its objectives are:
- Promoting improved education and training provision linked to future business needs through the Gatwick Diamond’s Further and Higher Education Institutions to create a world class workforce.
- Encouraging business innovation and growth through the delivery of intensive support to businesses with the ambition and potential to grow rapidly. More about the Coaching for Growth programme.
- Encourage the growth of knowledge based businesses and the development of new technologies to achieve sustainable growth.
