There are five universities on the doorstep of the Gatwick Diamond and three further education colleges which work closely together on courses on offer to young people and those already in employment. They have long term ambitions to enhance the skills of people working in the Diamond to help the area's businesses grow and to raise aspirations. The FE colleges also have a wide higher education offer.
The Gatwick Diamond is also the world centre for the flight simulation industry, having the largest concentration of training providers.
